From Lake Placid, USA
Nov. 21, 2019 – Justin Kripps continued a streak of North American Cup 4-man medals with another gold medal in Lake Placid.
Kripps finished out his sweep of 4-man gold in NAC action by once again setting the quick time at every timing line on his way to a .34 second victory over American Hunter Church.
Swiss pilot Michael Vogt finished third, ahead of Olympic silver medalist Yunjong Won, Canadian Taylor Austin, and Chinese pilot Yijun Shao, who rounded out the top six.
Over the course of four bobsled races to open the North American Cup schedule Kripps was the fastest in seven of eight heats, only being bettered by Codie Bascue in the opening run of the season.
American Geoff Gadbois finished 13th in the second American sled. Codie Bascue did not start due to a hamstring injury. Jeff McKeen finished 14th for Canada.
