From Vatra Dornei, ROU
(Feb. 10, 2019) – Evelin Lanthaler stayed perfect on the season, winning her sixth race in as many starts with one race to go.
Unlike previous races, Lanthaler didn’t dominate the race, and had to come from behind to win gold. Teammate Greta Pinggera held a .08 advantage going into the second heat, but Lanthaler was significantly faster than anyone else in the second heat to take gold.
Pinggera finished second, while Ekaterina Lavrenteva finished a distant third.
With a 150 point difference between Lanthaler and Pingera, Lanthaler clinched the season title with one race to go.
