From Deutschnofen, ITA
(Jan. 27, 2019) – As they had in all three races of the weekend prior to the relay, Italy cruised to victory in the team relay over Austria and Russia.
Both Evelin Lanthaler and Patrick Pigneter were quicker than anyone else in their legs of the relay and that was enough to take gold.
Thomas Kammerlander led the way for Austria with the fastest time in the third leg, .3 ahead of Italy’s Alex Gruber. Kammerlander’s effort wasn’t enough to put Austria ahead, however.
Russia finished third.
