(Jan. 26, 2019) – Evgeniy Rukosuev won the European Cup finale in Sigulda, edging out teammate Vladislav Semenov to take gold.
The two Russians were 1-2 going into the second heat with Semenov just ahead of Rukosuev. Rukosuev set a race-fastest run in the second heat to pull ahead of Semenov to take gold, while Semenov would finish second.
Krists Netlaus finished third on his home ice, a tenth of a second out of silver.
Germans Dominic Rady and Fabian Küchler finished fourth and fifth, while Latvian Martins Muznieks finished sixth.
With his fifth place finish, Küchler won the season long title, ahead of Rukosuev in second. Cedric Renner finished out the season in third.
