Doubles Luge
Toni Eggert & Sascha Benecken edged out teammates Tobias Wendl & Tobias Arlt to win gold in the doubles leg of the FIL sprint.
Eggert & Benecken finished just .012 ahead of Wendl & Arlt and only .017 ahead of the duo of Thomas Steu & Lorenz Koller.
Latvians Andris & Juris Sics finished fourth, ahead of Americans Chris Mazdzer & Jayson Terdiman and Russians Vsevolod Kashkin & Konstantin Korshunov.
Canadians Tristan Walker & Justin Snith finished 13th.

Women’s Luge
Two-time Olympic women’s singles gold medalist Natalie Geisenberger took gold in the women’s sprint, edging out teammate Julia Taubitz to win.
Taubitz was the final woman down, and came from well behind to get within .007 of Geisenberger for silver, while Dajana Eitberger won bronze to complete a German sweep of the podium.
Emily Sweeney of the United States finished fourth as the top non-German, with Tatjana Hüfner and Ekaterina Baturina rounding out the top six.
American Summer Britcher finished eighth, while Sandra Robatscher was disqualified for spikes being too long.

Men’s Luge
Much like his teammate David Gleirscher did in the Olympics, Austrian Jonas Müller took a relatively surprising victory in the men’s sprint competition, beating out veterans Felix Loch and Semen Pavlichenko for gold.
Müller was quick in both sprint qualifying and in the race, setting the fastest start speed on his way to victory. Loch finished second, .024 back, while Pavlichenko finished third, .054 back.
Johannes Ludwig, Kristers Aparjods, and Reinhard Eggert rounded out the top six.
Reid Watts finished 13th.
