From Oberhof, GER
(Jan. 19, 2019) – Arturs Klots won his first event of the 2018/2019 Para Bobsled World Cup, cruising to victory in Oberhof.
The Latvian was the quickest in both heats on his way to a .37 second victory over Andreas Kapfinger of Austria. Klots’s two runs were the two fastest of the race.
Great Britain’s Corie Mapp finished third, while Setbasitan Westin, Alvils Brants, and Guro Fronsdal rounded out the top six.
Lonnnie Bisonnette finished just outside of the top six in seventh, moving up from eighth after the first heat. Both Americans struggled, with Christ Rasmussen finishing 13th and Steven Jacobo 17th.
