(Jan. 12, 2019) – Thomas Kammerlander was the quickest in both heats in Winterleiten on his way to his first gold medal of the 2018/2019 FIL Natural Track season.

The 2017/2018 World Cup champion cruised to a .82 second victory over Kühtai winner Alex Gruber, tying him for the season point lead int he process.
Kammerlander’s teammate, Michael Scheikl, finished in third, missing out on a silver medal by .05.
Patrick Pigneter, FLorian Glatzl, an d Florian Clara rounded out the top six.
Aleksandr Egorov of Russia was the first non-Austrian or Italian in the field in ninth. Russia filled in positions 9-12.
