(Jan. 12, 2019) – Kori Hol won the first North American Cup gold medal of her career, finishing her season strong on the way to a NAC championship.
Hol came into the second heat behind Nicole Vogt of the United States. Hol set a quick time in the second heat, beaten only by previous day’s winner Kristi Koplin, and Vogt couldn’t match the time, giving Hol the win.
Hol’s teammate Catherine Medeiros finished with a silver medal, while Vogt held on for bronze.
Koplin finished just behind her teammate in fourth, while Melissa Lotholz finished fifth and Ashleigh Werner sixth.
Hol won the season-long North American Cup title by 82 points over Australian Ashleigh Werner . The title is her first.
