(Jan. 11, 2019) – Kristi Koplin won her first North American Cup race of the season, 365 days after her last race (and win) on tour.
Koplin cruised to a 1.21 second victory over Canadian Kori Hol to win her first gold medal since January 12, 2018 in Lake Placid.
Hol’s silver medal was a career best in a 2-woman event, while teammate Catherine Medeiros finished with a bronze medal for her second career IBSF NAC medal.
Melissa Lotholz finished fourth, ahead of Ashleigh Werner and Cynthia Serwaah in fifth and sixth, respectively.
