From Oberhof, GER
(Jan. 26, 2018) Corie Mapp swept both rounds of the IBSF Para-Bobsled World Cup in Oberhof, cruising to a 1.79 second victory over the field.
Mapp was the quickest at every timing line in Oberhof, and carried over a 1 second lead over the field going into the second heat. On his second run he was once again the fastest, extending his lead and taking his fourth gold medal of the 2017/2018 season.
Andreas Kapfinger finished second, hanging onto his position in the first heat by .03 over Canadian Lonnie Bissonnette, who finished third.
Race 7 bronze medalist Christ Rasmussen finished fourth, ahead of Arturs Klots and Alvils Brants of Latvia, who rounded out the top six.
American Dave Nicholls finished 14th.
