(Jan. 26, 2018) British slider Corie Mapp won his third race of the Para-Bobsled season, edging out Latvian Alvils Brants in the process.
Mapp had the fast time in both heats, winning by a total of .27 over Brants. The two currently sit one-two in the IBSF Para-Bobsled World Cup.
Christ Rasmussen of the United States was the big mover in the race, jumping up from seventh in the first heat to a bronze medal on the strength of a second-fastest run in the heat.
Arturs Klots was edged out of the medals by .03, finishing fourth. Canadian Lonnie Bissonnette finished fifth, while Lauris Zutis helped put three Latvians in the top six with his sixth place finish.
Dave Nicholls finished 14th as the second American slider.
