(Jan. 28, 2018) Russia won the final Team Relay of the 2017/2018 World Cup season, edging out Germany by .151.
Led by Semen Pavlichenko, the Russian squad overcame a small gap opened up by German Natalie Geisenberger to pull ahead and take gold.
Latvia finished third, well ahead of Italy in fourth. Austria and Canada rounded out the top six.
For Germany to have lost the World Cup title in Team Relay, they would have had to score 0 points. With their silver, they cruised to a Team Relay World Cup title ahead of Austria and Canada.
