(Jan. 25, 2018) Nikita Tregubov won his fourth men’s skeleton IBSF Junior World Championship in as many tries, cruising to a .93 victory over teammate Vladislav Marchenkov.
The now four-time Junior World Champion was second-fastest off the top in both heats, and set the two fastest times in the race, well ahead of Marchenkov. His winning streak dates back to the 2015 Junior World Championships in Altenberg, where he tied with German Christopher Grotheer.
German Felix Keisinger beat out Evgeniy Rukosuev to break up a Russian sweep of the podium.
Rukosuev finished fourth, ahead of Katsuyuki Miyajima and Felix Seibel, who rounded out the top six.
The fifth place finish for Miyajima is the Japanese slider’s best ever finish outside of North America.
