(Jan. 19, 2018) Evelin Lanthaler won her third race in as many weekends, this time in St. Sebastian.
The 2017 World Championship runner-up was the quickest in both heats to finish .56 ahead of Italian teammate Greta Pinggera on her way to her third win and fourth podium of the season.
Lanthaler’s win gives her a 30 point lead over Pinggera with two races to go in the World Cup schedule.
Michelle Diepold of Austria finished third, 1.90 seconds off the pace for her first podium of the season.
Ekaterina Lavrentyeva of Russia, Austrian Tina Unterberger, and German Lisa Walch rounded out the top six.
Next on the World Cup schedule is Deutschnofen, Italy, where Pinggera bested Lanthaler in 2017.
