From Passeiertal, ITA
(Jan. 13, 2018) The Italian doubles team of Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara stayed perfect on the season in what appears to be a full return to form for the Italian duo.
After a 2016/2017 season where Pigneter & Clara struggled to find the same continual success they’d shown for the seasons prior, the Italians have come back strong.
Pigneter & Clara dominated the race in Passeiertal, entering the second heat with a .23 second advantage over Russians Aleksandr Egorov and Petr Popov. In the second heat that lead grew to what would be a .97 second victory over the Russians.
Italians Armin Folie and Simone Gaio finished third in the nine team field.
