(Jan. 12, 2018) Geoff Gadbois capped off a fantastic two-man season on the North American Cup with a win in the NAC finale and a championship to go with it.
Gadbois came into his final two-man run of the season in second, behind Brazil’s Edson Bindilatti. Gadbois put the pressure on Bindilatti with another second-fastest run of the heat (behind Hunter Church). Bindilatti made one small mistake late in his run, dropping from first to third and giving the win to Gadbois.
Church moved from fourth to second to take silver, while Bindilatti finished third.
The win was Gadbois’ fourth of the year on his way to his first NAC championship.
Jian Jin, Chunjian Li, and Yijun Shao of China rounded out the top six.
Taylor Austin of Canada finished seventh in the race, and second overall in the NAC standings. Teammate Jeff McKeen finished the race in eighth.
Dustin Greenwood and Tyler Hickey of the United States rounded out the American effort in 11th and 12th, respectively.
