From La Plagne, FRA
(Dec. 17, 2017) Chrisoph Hafer swept the European Cup four-man stop in La Plagne, cruising to his third gold medal in as many days.
Hafer was the fastest in every men’s bobsled heat of the weekend (two 2-man heats, four 4-man heats), and in the fifth race of the European Cup four-man calendar it was enough by .71 to win gold.
Simone Bertazzo continued a solid weekend, winning his first European Cup medal since January of 2015 with a silver. Jan Vrba finished third, just .08 out of a silver medal.
Jonas Jannusch finished fourth and Pablo Nolte fifth for Germany, while Vuk Radenovic finished sixth in the lone Serbian sled.
