From La Plagne, FRA
(Dec. 15, 2017) Christoph Hafer won his second race of the 2017/2018 IBSF European Cup season, taking gold in La Plagne.
Despite mid-field starts, the German was the quickest in both heats at the bottom of the track on his way to a .43 second victory over teammate Bennet Buchmüller.
Buchmüller came into the second heat in third place, just behind Mihai Tentea of Romania, but put down a great second run to move to silver, while Tentea finished with a bronze medal in third.
Jan Vrba of the Czech Republic finished just outside of the top three in fourth, while Pablo Nolte of Germany and and Chunjian Li of China rounded out the top six.
