(Dec. 3, 2017) World Cup champion Greta Pinggera won gold, coming from behind to do so.
Pinggera found herself .14 behind Austrian Tina Unterberger going into the second run in Kühtai. While neither woman seemed to make a mistake, Pinggera’s trip down was slightly quicker and Unterberger wound up .03 behind the world champion, having to settle for silver.
Evelin Lanthaler of Italy finished third, .56 off the pace and just .02 ahead of Austrian Michelle Diepold, who finished fourth. Daria Maleeva of Russia finished fifth, while Italian Daniela Mittermair fnished sixth.
