From Calgary, CAN
(Nov. 12, 2017) Felix Keisinger won his first gold medal of the 2017/2018 Intercontinental Cup season, continuing German domination of the tour.
The German was the quickest in both heats, carrying a .06 second advantage over teammate Kilian von Schleinitz into the second run. While Keisinger was steady on his way to a gold medal, von Schleinitz struggled, dropping from second while British slider Marcus Wyatt took over the position.
Wyatt was strong off the top, and pieced together his best combination of runs of the season on his way to a silver medal. von Schleinitz had to settle for bronze.
The win for Keisinger is the third in three races for Germany, with von Schleinitz winning the first two events in Whistler.
Germany’s Michael Zachrau finished fourth, while Canada’s Patrick Rooney and Evan Neufeldt finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
Kyle Brown led the way for the United States with a tenth place run, two spots ahead of teammate Nathan Crumpton. Mike Rogals rounded out the American effort in 18th.
