From Whistler, CAN
(Nov. 4, 2017) Kilian von Schleinitz took gold in a very tight Intercontinental Cup 2017/2018 opener at the Whistler Sliding Centre.
The three-man German squad all finished in the top four, with Felix Keisinger sharing the silver medal with Russian Pavel Kulikov. Michael Zachrau finished out the German effort with a fourth-place finish.
Canadian Evan Neufeldt came into the second run as the leader, but had the sixth-quickest run to drop to fifth overall, while British slider Marcus Wyatt had the fast push in the first heat on his way to a sixth place finish.
Paul Fraser and Patrick Rooney helped put all three Canadian men in the top ten with a tie for seventh, and a tenth place finish respectively.
Nathan Crumpton led the way for the United States in ninth. Mike Rogals and Kyle Brown finished 15th and 25th to round out the American effort.
