From Umhausen, AUT
In what was the most anticlimactic race of the weekend, Thomas Kammerlander cruised to victory over Patrick Pigneter on his way to the overall World Cup title.
Kammerlander had the fastest run in both heats, finishing 1.10 seconds ahead of Pigneter, and 1.13 second ahead of Pigneter’s teammate, Alex Gruber.
The win was Kammerlander’s third of the season, and his sixth World Cup podium in six events.
Pigneter finished second, and Gruber third, only .03 apart, with the Italians also finishing second and third in the overall points.
Michael Scheikl finished fourth in Umhausen, setting the second fastest time in the second run. Florian Breitenberger and Florian Clara finished fifth and sixth, helping Austria and Italy secure the top six spots.
