Results from the eighth and final race of the 2016/2017 IBSF European Cup women’s skeleton season, held January 20, 2017.

Tamara Seer edged teammate Luisa Hornung to win gold in Altenberg. Seer had the faster run in the first heat, but Hornung was quicker in the second. When both runs were added up, Seer had the advantage by a mere .05 to take gold.

The win was Seer’s fifth in seven races, and helped her finish with the overall European Cup women’s skeleton title.

Renata Khuzina finished with the bronze medal, over a second behind the leaders. Kimberley Murray of Great Britain finishing just .05 off the podium in fourth. Susanne Kreher of Germany finished fifth, while Anastasia Shlapak finished sixth.

Brogan Crowley finished eighth in the second British effort, while Canadian Grace Dafoe finished her season with a 13th place effort.

Kellie Delka led the way for the United States in ninth, while Samantha Culiver finished 12th.

Agathe Bessard finished 17th as the lone French entry.
