2016/2017 IBSF Intercontinental Cup - Women's Skeleton

Results from the sixth IBSF Intercontinental Cup women’s skeleton race of the 2016/2017 season, held January 13, 2017.

Lanette Prediger swept both of Calgary’s races on the 2016/2017 ICC tour in dominating fashion, backing up her 1 second win in Race 5 with a 1.03 second win in Race 6.

Prediger was the only athlete under 58 seconds despite two of the slower pushes in the competition. Her drives were flawless, leading to her second gold medal of the ICC season, and fifth medal overall.

Prediger’s teammate Jaclyn LaBerge finished with a silver medal with the second-fastest time in each heat, while American Savannah Graybill took bronze.

Of the top three women, no one pushed within the top ten of the quickest start.

Madison Charney rounded out another strong Canadian effort with a fourth place finish, while Race 5 silver medalist Donna Creighton finished fifth on the strength of the quickest start in both runs.

American Megan Henry rounded out the top six, while teammate Veronica Day finished 15th.

British slider Madelaine Smith finished seventh in the second British entry.
