From Whistler, CAN
Alexander Kasjanov was dominant in the four-man competition in Whistler.
The Russian had the third fastest push in the second heat, but the quickest drive in both runs to run away with the gold medal in a race that was close most of the way through the field.
Swiss pilot Rico Peter backed up his Whistler two-man silver medal with a silver in the four-man sled. His first run, though, was sloppy at best, but was quick enough to stay ahead of everyone but Kasjanov.
German Johannes Lochner had a flawless second run, and moved up from 11th place to third, edging American Steven Holcomb by .03. Holcomb, who came into the second run in the bronze medal position, finished fourth in a new BMW sled.
Canadians Justin Kripps and Chris Spring finished fifth and sixth, respectively, while teammate Nick Poloniato finished 11th.
Codie Bascue finished 15th for the United States, two places ahead of teammate Nick Cunningham in 17th. British pilot Lamin Deen finished ninth.
