From Park City, USA
Eric Eierdam added one more gold medal to an already successful 2015/2016 season, tacking on an IBSF World Championship to his list of accomplishments.
The American was dominant in Park City, setting the fast time in every heat to cruise to victory by over three seconds ahead of British slider Matthew Richardson, who finished in the silver medal position.
Eierdam slid out to a fast start, opening up over a one second advantage after the first run. Richardson couldn’t close the gap, failing to beat Eierdam in any heat, but keeping well ahead of Australian Brendan Dover, who finished with a bronze medal.
American Dorian Willes finished fourth, just ahead of Canadian Kelsey Rice in fifth. Jason Lettice of Australia finished sixth.
