2015/2016 IBSF World Cup – Men’s Skeleton – Race 6

Six races into the 2015/2016 IBSF World Cup skeleton season, and Martins Dukurs has six wins. It was a family 1-2, with Tomass Dukurs taking silver. In Run 1, Martins grabbed the track record, but int he second run Tomass went .04 faster, setting the new Whistler track record at 52.11, but it wasn’t enough to unseat his younger brother.

Korean Sungbin Yun finished third, edging American Matt Antoine. Dave Greszczyszyn finished fifth as the top-finishing Canadian on home-ice, just ahead of Dom Parsons of Great Britain, who finished sixth.

Despite just missing out on the medals, it was a good day for the North Americans. American Nathan Crumpton edged Canadian Barrett Martineau for seventh, with Martineau finishing eighth. The third Canadian sled in the field, Evan Neufeldt, finished tied for 22nd with Ronald Auderset.

New Zealander Rhys Thornbury finished a World Cup career-best 12th, while Aussie John Farrow finished 15th.
