From Latsch, ITA
Patrick Pigneter doubled up on gold medals in Latsch, taking gold in both the doubles luge and men’s luge events. The men’s luge win gives him gold medals in both singles and doubles for the first two events of the year.
Alex Gruber took silver, a second and a half ahead of Thomas Kammerlander of Austria. Florian Clara and Stefan Federer helped put all four sleds in the top five. Stanislav Kovshik finished sixth.
Samuel Budd finished 22nd for Great Britain.
