From Sigulda, LAT
Felix Loch took his second win of the FIL World Cup season over Semen Pavlichenko, who beat him on the same track last season. Loch was dominant in the first run, and it was enough to hold off a very quick run in the second heat by the Russian to hold on for gold.
Pavlichenko finished with a silver medal, while American Tucker West finished third in only his second race in Latvia.
Ralf Palik, Andi Langenhan and David Gleirscher rounded out the top six. Chris Mazdzer put two Americans in the top ten with his eighth lace finish, while Aidan Kelly and Taylor Morris finished 25th and 26th to round out the American effort.
Mitchel Malyk was the top finishing Canadian in 22nd. Teammate Reid Watts finished 32nd.
