The first race of the 2015/2016 Natural Track World Cup for women was held in bracket form, with Tina Unterberger taking gold on home soil, beating Evelin Lanthaler in the finals.
In the bronze medal race, Italian Greta Pinggera edged Ekaterina Lavrentyeva of Russia. Sarah Bachmann of Italy and Theresa Maurer of Germany finished fifth and sixth.
