From Altenberg, GER
After what could be considered a disappointing finish one week ago, the United States rebounded strong to finish one-two, and a North American sweep of the podium.
Jamie Greubel Poser set the fast time of the day (56.74 in Run 1) to take the gold medal and a tie of the World Cup points lead.
Elana Meyers Taylor dominated the IBSF World Cup last season, but started in Altenberg off the podium. She came back strong in Winterberg, setting a new start record in the process. Altenberg gold medalist Kaillie Humphries took bronze for Canada and fell into a tie for the World Cup points lead.
Anja Schneeiderheinze took fourth place for Germany, moving up one spot, and Christina Hengster finished fifth.
